And now, there’s a clip from the Dixon Place performance

Of all the tech issues we confronted last Friday at Dixon (Policy dictates you hit the ground – first time – surrounded by your audience) the most problematic was the failure of our primary camera to capture anything. While I would love to show you some of the puppetry or Peter Doyle’s Magic Mike moment or even Walt and He playing Flo and Mary to a stirring rendition of “Stop, in the Name of Love” I can’t because the footage doesn’t exist. I have nonetheless pulled a few moments of the show together in the clip below. A big thanks to Dixon Place for hosting, to Antóin Ó Gormáin for visiting from Cork to lend that authentic voice to Peter Doyle and to the sisters Beshaw for puppets, programmes and paraphernalia AND, OH – a big thanks to Val Sherlock whose magnificently constructed beard and wig continues to do 80% of the work actor’s like to call “characterisation” for me. Big thanks to all who attended!
